Found&Lost is the combined work of award-winning artists Michele Woodey
and Nerea Martinez de Lecea.
As Found&Lost we collaborate on paintings, drawings, digital imagery, photography,
video and installation works. Together we are mapping realms characterised not only
by things falling apart, but also by the stirring and quickening of things coming to life.
As artists we choose to work within territories that must be experienced and felt
rather than described. We weave poetic narratives where boundaries between
words, text, sound, images, object and subject, dissolve.
Found&Lost conspire to place the viewer inside a reverie of fable, memory and
confabulation. We aim to create lyrical and challenging work that is a diverse
and complex amalgamation of the organic, visceral, allegorical and personal.
